Elements closes its doors.
With many of the established restaurants in the Napa Valley feeling the sting of the recession, Elements Restaurant & Enoteca simply did not have the established history to weather the storm during this challenging period.
"Basically we got hit by the economic downturn. Going in, we knew this was a challenging business in the best of times, but no one anticipated the depth of the of the prolonged recession. Despite wonderful support from locals and tourists alike, the economic downturn depleted our reserves," stated owner Rich Poliak of Napa.
Elements is located in the West End district of downtown Napa. Poliak hopes to identify a restaurateur who sees a great opportunity to take over the location in Napa's newest destination district. The West End of downtown Napa is being transformed with the recent opening of the Avia Hotel, world class art galleries, and other new businesses and restaurants.
"We're proud of what we've done to renovate this great space, giving the corner of Second and Franklin a contemporary feel that is inviting and fun. We still believe the West End will become a thriving neighborhood of the City of Napa, and that this location will be an exciting part of the West End."
